OpenSwiftUI renders its first UI on Android

An experimental backend now turns OpenSwiftUI's shared display list into visible Text and Color on Android—a renderer milestone, not a support promise.

Compiling Swift for Android only validates the toolchain. In June 2026, an experimental renderer built through flowkey/UIKit-cross-platform carried an OpenSwiftUI view through graph evaluation, layout, and display-list generation, then drew Text and Color in the Android Emulator.

What this proves

Android can reuse OpenSwiftUI's shared view and layout implementation while a platform backend handles the final display list. The backend used here is an experiment, not a settled direction.

This is not Android support yet. View coverage, input, lifecycle, accessibility, packaging, and reproducible builds all remain open work.
